The club was started in 1963 by a handful of keen and adventurous divers. As more people became interested in scuba diving, Dagenham Sub-Aqua Club (DagSAC) was formed with a full training scheme as a BSAC club. Over the years, the club evolved into an experienced, well-structured organisation, which now boasts ten qualified instructors. DagSAC is primarily a club that dives in UK waters on a regular basis. Our training is geared towards the more challenging conditions that are found around our coastline. A BSAC qualification awarded by DagSAC instructors will enable you to dive anywhere in the world. We are an active branch, with over 50 members and we have a full calendar of dives, training sessions and social events for the enjoyment of our club members and visitors. We encourage all of our members to take part in all aspects of the club, from helping with social events, to arranging dives. If you are new to scuba diving, or even if you are an experienced diver, please spend time reviewing our pages. We hope you will find them enjoyable, informative and relevant. Get to know us a little better, and if you like what you see, come down to our pool for a try dive. There are phone and e-mail contact details to club members who can provide answers to specific questions. Get in touch! We meet every Tuesday from 8:30 at Dagenham Swimming Pool, Althorne Way, Dagenham for a swim, and afterwards at the M&B Sports & Social Club, Sanofi-Aventis, Rainham Road South, Dagenham, Essex RM10 7XS. The section 'Members' is designed to provide DagSAC club members with the latest news and events occurring within the club. It is regularly updated to provide a reliable means of communication. |
